Big beer has slowly been increasing its hold on Washington policy makers ever since the bar taps were turned back on after prohibition.
Its taken craft brewers longer to get a seat at the table, but they’re now there, in part because of the efforts of Dan Kopman, co-founder and CEO of Schlafly Beer in St. Louis.
Kopman met up with host Matt Laslo at his local Capitol Hill bar, Union Pub (where “Laslo” is proudly engraved in a plaque on the wall. #YOLO).
In this video, Dan talks about his lobbying efforts on the Hill regarding taxes and the Small BREW Act, all while sipping one of his own Midwestern brews all the way out in D.C.
